The Directorate for Police Education, Professional Development and Science is responsible for work related to design and implementation of the staff education in the Ministry of Interior, i.e. basic vocational police education, education of staff in order to acquire high and higher education degree, professional development of the members of the Ministry of Interior (training), scientific-research work for internal affair interests, publishing for educational needs, professional development and logistics in function of education.

 The Training Center

 Basic and specialized police training is realized in training centers. Within the Trainig Centre there are educational centers: Makis, Belgrade, Kula, Klisa, Petrovo selo, Jasenovo, Mitrovo polje, Kursumlijska banja.

 While accomplishing its functions, the Directorate closely cooperate with the Police Academy (22 Humska St, tel: 3691 720), which is an independent institution out of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia.
